WHY WE STARTED THIS

Purpose Project Foundation began with a simple question I’ve carried most of my life:

What does it look like to really show up for people?

Not in words.
Not in trends.
In presence. In consistency. In action.

I grew up in Santa Barbara surrounded by beauty, opportunity, and community. But I also grew up knowing that not everyone experiences life from the same starting line. Some people are quietly carrying stories most of the world never sees.

That awareness came largely from my father.

Before he became the man I know today, his life was marked by instability, loss, and survival. He moved through foster homes and institutions. He experienced homelessness. He found sobriety. He rebuilt his life through faith, craftsmanship, and quiet integrity.

Watching that journey shaped me.

It taught me that people don’t struggle because they lack ability. They struggle because they lack support, safety, and someone who believes in them. It taught me that character is built when no one is watching.

That healing is possible.
That responsibility matters.
That service isn’t a brand, it’s a way of life.

As I grew into my own work in creative, business, and community spaces, I kept seeing the same pattern: incredibly talented, good-hearted people falling through the cracks. Not because they didn’t care, but because no one had created systems to catch them.

Purpose Project was born from that realization.

It is the intersection of my life, my family’s story, and my commitment to this community that raised me.

It is my way of honoring where we come from and investing in where we’re going.

We focus on meeting real needs with humility, clarity, and follow-through. We partner locally. We stay relational. We stay accountable. We stay rooted.

This work is personal to me.
It’s generational.
It’s long-term.

Purpose Project isn’t about recognition.

It’s about responsibility. It’s about making sure fewer people have to navigate life alone. And building something, here at home, that lasts.
